Well, I wouldn't say I have a problem with it - I run a 3 zone ride. 
I just checked and I have it set up as a snare, but then I am using a
TP65S as my ride!  Only misc2 and snare seem to give 3 zones on the
ride.  

However, I don't think PCY3 on the trigger settings means 3 zone - I
don't think Yamaha make a 3 zone cymbal.  PCY3 is listed for
PCY80S/80/65S/65/80/10 which are all old single and dual zone cymbals
I think. Lots of "I think" here because I am only familiar with what I
have.

Glad the 3 zone Xpander works.
