Hi all, I've been an avid reader of this list for some time and read all the old posts on the issue above. I need to convince myself that my experience with the headphones is normal and not a faulty unit, so I would appreciate a little feedback and advice on others experiences. When I monitor the DTX through the headphones, with the level set to absolute max, I get barely adequate volume to hide the sticking sounds. Admittedly this was through a fairly cheap pair of walkman-style headphones (which can send me deaf when connected to my Walkman). So I went our and bought a pair of $70 Senheiser phones with specs of Sensitivity 106db and impedance 32 ohm. These only helped maginally (but looked way cool). I am now looking at returning them and forking our $100 for a pair of Sony monitor headphones, with similar sensitivity but higher impedance. Being only vaguely familiar with electronic engineering, I'm not even too sure what I should be looking for. Hopefully the extra $$$ mean something? I this what all of you guys have to deal with on the DTX? How can a manufacturer put out a product with such a woefully inadequate volume level. Is there any point in contacting Yahama support? Finally, I have read some posts that the signal from the line outputs on the back of the brain is significantly different than the headphone level. Some people said better, punchier, others said worse, flat. Any comments on this? Thanks Drew __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
