Press shift+trigger to get into the trigger edit menu. Hit the hihat and the display should say "TRIG IN=8". Underneath it should say "Type= RHH" if it doesn't then you need to change it. The other settings related to the hihat are on page 14 of the reference manual: HH OffS=xx and T=xx. The offset may help adjust where your foot needs to be for a specific sound between closed and open. The time T is the splash detect time which doesn't sound like your problem, but will need adjusting if you are having trouble getting the foot splash, or get it too often. Keith.
