I'm a little confussed now. Neither. You can simply play the wav while it plays the drum part you have written. However, you don't have to use the wav/mp3 feature if you just want some notation software. There is software which will try to create a midi or music score from an audio file, but I haven't found one which is accurate and anything but hard work yet. Keith.
