Re: How to set a Roland SPD6 to my DTXPRESS?

2006-11-11 by parebele

hi. i have a malletKat midi'd into a dtxpress II, so this might work. assuming you've
hooked the midi cables up correctly (out from the spd6, in to the dtxpress), then set the
dtxpress to send on midi channel 10. any other channel will get you gm midi sounds
(pianos, etc.) set the spd6 to receive on midi channel ten. that should get you percussion
sounds. then assign sounds you want to hear to the midi note numbers (0-127, c-2 to
G8). then assign a midi note number to each pad on the spd6. voila. again, i have no
experience with the spd6 so you'll have to figure out how to assign different sounds to
different pads. but i have a malletKAT and a PTX-8 midi'd into my dtxpressII and this
method works fine.

cheers,
