Chris,

Unfortunately, the Yamaha DTXpress module is not as sensitive to rim
hits as main pad hits. I have never quite worked out why they have
made it that way. On my early, rather complex DTXpander I added some
gain to the rim pad to compensate.

Two suggestions: 1) swap the tom & cymbal over and see if that helps.
You can then also bypass the series diode on the cymbal input to
increase the cymbal level a little which may also help. 2) check to
see if you have an adjustemnt pot on the cymbal itself - mine do - try
adjusting it.

I am assuming you have played around with the Gain and MVEL in the
trigger menu? What percentage are you getting on the trigger edit
menu from the two pads?

Keith.
