There are two ways to use the dual zone ConcertCast pads: use two inputs per pad or use the "DTXpander" to convert the signals from two piezos to a single piezo with rim switch (see the files section for circuits). I can only assume that the rim shot is working by using the rim piezo pulse as a "switch" signal. This could potentially blow up the rim switch input on the module as it is not designed for a piezo signal (which can reach a fairly high voltage). Keith.
