Right.  The tennis ball platform had a surge of popularity a few years 
ago. I've heard that it even works. Let us know whether it solves your 
problem. Many drummers are dismayed to discover that their new e-kits 
are far from silent, especially through the floor.  Rugs and all 
manner of extra isolation are highly recommended. Mesh pads are often 
the next upgrade because they make less noise than gum rubber; they 
also tend to be bigger, easier on the joints, and arguably more like 
acoustic drums(depending on the brand).
