The Pintech ones are made under license from Roland.

Roland's patent is not on mesh heads as such, but something to do with
the positioning/arrangement of the piezo and foam which couples from
the mesh to the piezo - I forget exactly what.  While it doesn't stop
anyone making a mesh head, it stops them making one that works in the
same way as the Roland.  Even the Pintech ones seem to use a foam
cylinder rather than the cone used on the Rolands.
