Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Just looking for a stand alone amp for my drums. Tired of playing with headphones or through the pa. Something to hopefully compete with those guitar players who love 11 on their amp.

What do you use for amplification normally?  I mean in your "workspace" or on "gigs".  I'm confused with the "band practice" thing.
