Re: [DTXpress] Drop clutch

2009-09-10 by psychy

Sorry guys. I'll try and be a bit clearer.
My hihat pedal is set to mimic a hihat properly, it tracks open, sloshy, closed and pedalled fine.
I have enough pedals and pads to perform the double bassdrum function without 'stealing' the hihat pedal.
I don't need to convert anything into anything else.

I want to electronically add the facility of a drop clutch to get a 'closed' sound from the hihats when the hihat pedal is released, and to restore the hihat to 'normal use' on the next press of the hihat pedal.

I'm not suggesting this is possible without modifying the kit.
Any thoughts?
