You should also check the cable by pulling the cable out of the ride or crash(something you know works) and plugging it into the snare and hitting it... it should have all the same functions there as on the other pad.

Another check you could do (in case the module is faulty) is to put the pad into the ride or crash inputs (6 or 7) and change the pad type to TP65-1. If it still doesn't work, it sounds like the pad is faulty.
