There are in between sounds on SOME hihat voices, But not all. I don't think any of the GM voices have them-only open and closed. But several of the others have them. It should be very easy to get them with the factory sensitivity settings. Also decrease the 'decay' value(more sustain) on the closed sound for a much better sound. and the open sound needs to be adjusted for a more realistic transition between closed and partly open. More sustain lets the open hihats ring out longer, but it also makes the first partly open sound much more open. so its a trade-off.
