What I meant was this: Say I simultaneously hit the rim and pad together 10 times. 8 times, I will hear both sound, 2 times I will only hear the rim sound. So, I guess that, although they 'sound' like they're playing together, there is a slight delay in one of the hits, enough that both sounds will come through (SelfRej is set very low, so this is likely). You will get one or the other sound, not both. If you want a rim shot you hit the third zone - you don't try to hit the rim and pad simultaneously as you would with an acoustic drum. Keith.
