Pretty frustrating-was told by Yamaha authorized service tech-sorry we don't support these anymore or have replacements parts. Better buy a new one. What a bunch of crap, in plain English. I will keep searching. I hve 4 perfectly sound Yamaha pieces needing repair, and nobody in all the US can repair these? and what happens to these "unrepairable" units-they become very toxic and expensive landfill? That just doesn't seem right to me. Time to get in touch with the Japanese people who made them. I mentioned in another post getting in touch with Yamaha Japan. I will do that whether I can translate or not, there has to be a way these things can be brought back to life. I have tried 3 different US repair facilities, all authorized Yamaha repair shops, none of them could do a thing. Good thing houses, cars and just about every other business does not operate like this. I can get a 25-year old garage door opener service, but I can't get a lousy drum module repaired? And I was willing to pay whatever the going factory rates were, still couldn't get anyone knowledgeable to even try. At least Advanced Musical Electronics tried, but they are tied to Yamaha for parts, and Yamaha won't supply the parts-so the circle continues.
