After joining this group I feel a little better to see I'm not the only one with a problem, yes the KP60 can be unreliable I think its because of the lower quality wires and soldiering job to keep the cost down, I returned my pad about 4 months after getting my kit. They gave me a new one and I still had problems, if you know what you're doing and have worked with electronics its an easy fix but it will void your warranty. I have found that Pintech makes a similar model called the "vertikick" , its about $10-20 more, but its very reliable and is wide enough to accept a double pedal. I think drum world in castle shannon PA could get these for you if they don't have them in stock. They also have alot of other electric kicks if you don't like pintech electronics.
