Hi Mike, It's early here, and the coffee hasn't quite taken hold, but I can't think of a setting that could cause this, but here's a thought. If you press the Trigger button (assuming that you have that mode selected that makes the brain display which pad is being struck) does it show that both pads are registering on input 9? If so I would suspect the Y connector. If it does show inputs 9 & 10 being struck, we'll have to open our eyes wider and get into the manual.
