No problem.  Electric drums aren't very common and
unfortunately that means people who have a great deal
of knowledge are in short supply.  That's why if I can
answer the question I will give up every bit of info I
can.  I have built several triggers of my own in the
past year and have learned a good bit.  If you have
any more questions about triggers don't hesitate to
email me.  I'll do my best to find an answer. 
Unfortunately though I know close to nothing about
midi.  I may be asking you and some of the other users
in the group alot of questions in the up and coming
