Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Hi,
Rolf, no problems with signal on my kick unit. I've had it on a wall
to wall carpet with pad from the start so if vibration is the 
problem, this may be a way to solve it, as suggested. One very small 
problem that I had with this unit was that two of the phillips screws
near the pad came lose and caused a very annoying clicking sound until
I fooled around and fixed it.

Sticks: In case anyone cares, I did some experimenting at the music
shop and ended up with Vic Firth Buddy Rich ("one of a kind") signature
models. A bit larger around and slightly longer than their standard
5A but with some more weight near the tip, and a rounded tip. Dramatic
improvement over the standard tipped 5A (for whatever reason) and they
are a very nifty white color. They seem like a compromise between a 
basic 5A and the marching stick.
