Sam- I brought my module into where my computer is and hooked up the serial cable to the To Host port. I tried the setting you suggested on a user kit (#98), still no sound. I have the swithch on the back on PC2 because I have the smaller pin connectors. I've installed the drivers that came with the book CD and the XGLite sequencer software. I can't figure out how to get any sounds out. I also have a midi cabel that connects to my PC from the game port. The cable has midi in and out. Using a different program, Band in a Box, I can play preprogramed or original songs via midi to my module and the sounds work fine. I can change drum kits while the general midi sounds stay consistent. So... I don't know why I can't get the Drum Set Crash Course CD to work? Perhaps Warner Bro.s or Yamaha has some support and can help me? If you have any other ideas let me know. If anyone else has any experience with this problem, I'd love to hear from you. Thanks Sam and everyone else in the group!
