Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Hello all,
I'm thinking of upgrading my snare pad to something with a bit better feel and larger size. I tried some used V-drum pads that were in the store I where I work, but they don't seem to work with the DTXPress brain. Any other choices, (Pintech, or Hart, or????) or suggestions on how to make the V-Pads work?  Thanx!!!!  JP
