Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

i was recently designing a new kit on my module(1 0f 2 that is)
anyways i started building with a basic kit in the user kits and i 
noticed that every other time when i pedal the hats i get the chick 
sound from it,does anyone know how i can adjust this to do this 
everytime i pedal the hats??i'm sure it's just some basic settings 
change but i didn't really have time to mess with it much so i 
figured i'd just ask the group ,rather than leafing through the most 
of the times useful manual..
