Hi Sven, Many have suggested that higher quality headphones are more desireable, due to sound quality, but I have not heard complaints about only hearing 1 channel. They should be stereo (of course) but there are no other requirements that I know of. I would, as Vivean suggests, try to isolate where the problem is by tring the other outputs, or another pair of headphones - stuff like that.
