I've said it before and I'm sayin' it again. Buy a vertikick. Pintech makes them, if you look in past articles in this group you'll see it listed numerous times. Most people in the owners' group will agree it's your best option. I've been told that if you replace the resistors in the kick or remove the pots and wire it directly that could cure the problem, not everyone has the tecnical know-how to do that though and I've never tired it so I can't verify that it works. So I wouldn't recommend that. I personally think that the kick that comes with the dtxpress is too inconsistant, you need a better kick if you're playin' gigs with this thing. If you don't like the vertikick Roland makes some very nice ones that are rubber pads (not with a mesh head) and are not too expensive. I hope this helps. -Joe --- jef w <meats_dead@...> wrote: > at my gig last night, the kick trigger proved to be > malfunctioning; not nearly every hit was triggered / > so no sound was audible. anybody else experience > that?? what can i do? jef, ct USA > > > --------------------------------- > Do You Yahoo!? > Yahoo!
