I have just got back into drumming after a 15 year hiatus, and my only kit now is a DTXpress. My stick preference was always Pro Mark 5B Oak wood tips, but found them too heavy on the rubber pads. I've since switched to Pro Mark 747 Hickory wood tips. It took some getting used to, but picking up the 5B's seems really odd now. The 747's are considerably narrower, and slightly longer than the 5B's. Their smaller size, plus hickory versus oak makes them much lighter. Jim Tonak ratzo@tampabay.rr.com
