Hi dopmi,

Of course it has to be a MIDI question, which is not
my strongest area, but let me try. I think to play a
keyboard voice from a pad, you have to use a different
MIDI channel than #10, which is for the drum voices.
Although I have not experimented with this myself,
there is a table in the DTX manual that lists the
channel assignments (back around page 136 in the
online version of the manual)- and the keyboard voices
are on channels 1-9 and 11-16. In the voice setting
for the pad you're working on, thry changing the MIDI
channel to one of these and see if you can then access
the GM sounds.

To the MIDIxperts out there - am I even close?
