Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

If you want the choke effect, you need to change the Pad Type in 
Trigger setup edit mode. I dont know what page it is on in the 
dtxpress II manual.ook in the index under 'Pad" you need to change the 
type to PCY Crash, or another type that supports choke.
