Re: make rim separate trigger then pad

2002-11-16 by hairytrigger

Yes, the gain, sensitivity and all that other crap only works for the
whole pad. There is no separate control for the rim. The main problem
is the rim function on the TP80S pads. It sucks! You do have to really
smack it to get it to respond. You have to hit it in just the right
spot, at just the right angle and usually very hard to make it work.
To me, that makes it totally worthless. The rim function on the PCY80S
works a lot better. I don't know why the difference. I tried several
TP80S's and sent them all back. Again, I pose the question: Does
anybody know of a GOOD stereo pad! It seems like a waste to have the
stereo inputs and not be able to use them.Does anyone get good
response with the TP80S? How the hell do you do it?
