Hi , i want to use the rim of my snare pad separately then the snare pad , how to do that ? Thank's

What do you mean separately? What type pad do you use for snare. A tp80s is already separated pad to rim. If you mean two separate inputs, it can't be done with a stereo pad. We need more info about your dilemma. Scott --- In DTXpress@y..., "dopmi" <mapod@w...> wrote:

hi , sorry if it was not clear , i talk about the TP80S pad , to activate the sound of the rim i have to play both rim and center of the pad ( like a real snare drum ) that's ok for most of the situation but sometime i need to make a sound with Only the rim of the snare , for example i want to play the center of the pad for a clasic snare drum sound and the rim for a clap sound , i want to have the clap sound with Only hit the rim not hit both rim and center of pad for that . OK, Here's the only thing I can Think of. Go into VOICE EDIT mode. Scroll up thru the menus until you get to RimToPad. Select the rim trigger(by hitting it)Make sure it says rim. Now look to see if 'RimToPad=disable' is there. If not, make it disabled. Hope this helps! i just do that but not sure there is a difference cause i have to hit Hard to make rim have the clap sound , enabled or disabled if i hit hard on rim i have a the sound , i wanted to change the "gain" for a more sensitive rim when i hit it Without hit in the same time the center of the pad but seem that i can only change the gain fo the center of the pad and not for the rim right ? --- In DTXpress@y..., "hairytrigger" <artifax@i...> wrote: > OK, Here's the only thing I can Think of. > Go into VOICE EDIT mode. Yes, the gain, sensitivity and all that other crap only works for the whole pad. There is no separate control for the rim. The main problem is the rim function on the TP80S pads. It sucks! You do have to really smack it to get it to respond. You have to hit it in just the right spot, at just the right angle and usually very hard to make it work. To me, that makes it totally worthless. The rim function on the PCY80S works a lot better. I don't know why the difference. I tried several TP80S's and sent them all back. Again, I pose the question: Does anybody know of a GOOD stereo pad! It seems like a waste to have the stereo inputs and not be able to use them.Does anyone get good response with the TP80S? How the hell do you do it? Hi Scott, This possibly could be caused by the sticks you're using Scott - switch to Top Banana's ( http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0000224VI/qid=1037497078/br=1-19/ref=br_lf_hi_19//104-6239838-3884704?v=glance&s=hi&n=553194 ) Walt --- In DTXpress@y..., "hairytrigger" <artifax@i...> wrote:

Thanks Walt. I hadn't considered that. This could solve more than one problem! On a more serious note I have found the rim triggers on the RHP pads to be MUCH nicer than the stereo rims. The main pad and rim triggers have individual sensitivity controls, which allow more fine tuning. I don't have a lot of miles on them yet, but so far, so good! They're the pads for the DTXtreme, the DTXpress's big brother. They are dual triggers with real heads, which I've exchanged for mesh heads.
