Pete I had the same problem and ended up buying a Yamaha Real Head trigger (the one that comes with DTXTREME). I put a Hart Dynamics mesh head on it and I love it. The rim trigger on the Roland PD120 mesh head unit does not generate a big enough signal for the DTXpress and the mesh head is very bouncy. You will need to use 2 inputs for the RHP as the rim trigger is a piezo. I use input 2(snare) for the pad and input 9 for the rim. With a splitter you can then use your old snare pad on input 10 as another tom or a cow bell or ...... Cheers Warren
