RE: [DTXpress] Re: Got A Mixer...

2002-12-13 by Erik Dobbelsteijn

Hi,

: Here's what I got: OUTPUTS- Main Out.SENDS-Monitor Send and Effects
: Send....Don't see anything for tape out...so how do I hook this up?

I took a look at the manual of your mixer, and you could use the Main Outs
of your mixer and connect them to the line in of your PC. You've got three
options for connectors at the mixer (!), so finding the right cable should
be easy.

Another setup would be, to link the line out of your PC (to which your
speakers are connected now) to a stereo input of your mixer (like channel
5), and hook up your DTXPress to another stereo input of your mixer. Put the
mini-jack of your PC-speakers into the mini-jack main out, and then you can
easily mix PC, drums and any other tthing you hook up to the mixer (not
having to use the awkard software mixer in your PC). Another advantage is,
that you don't have to fire up your PC in order to hear your drums!

These mixers are very versatile, and you've got a lot of options. I hope
these two help a little.

Erik
