Well guys...I went out and got a small mixer. I got a Peavey RQ200, and it works great. One thing I wanted to ask, don't know if anyone will have the answer...here goes. If I wanna hook up the mixer to my PC to play MP3s thru my Cambridge speakers...how can I do it? By the way, I got this mixer reasonable at my local music shop, they gave me a great deal! Thanks guys for your valuable suggestions and help.

I haven't looked at the schematic for your mixer, but if it has a tape out then you only have to connect that to a line in on your PC, mix the drums with the MP3's through the software mixer and throw them out onto the Cambridge (which are already hooked up I presume). My setup is the other way around: the computers line out goes to one of the line inputs of the mixer, just like the drumset. The output of the mixer goes to an amplifier with speakers connected to it. Any sound coming from the mixer is also looped back to the computer to record the mix. Watch out for loops when you do this (be carefull with any 'mix tape to mix' buttons). Good luck and have fun Erik

Hi, : Here's what I got: OUTPUTS- Main Out.SENDS-Monitor Send and Effects : Send....Don't see anything for tape out...so how do I hook this up? I took a look at the manual of your mixer, and you could use the Main Outs of your mixer and connect them to the line in of your PC. You've got three options for connectors at the mixer (!), so finding the right cable should be easy. Another setup would be, to link the line out of your PC (to which your speakers are connected now) to a stereo input of your mixer (like channel 5), and hook up your DTXPress to another stereo input of your mixer. Put the mini-jack of your PC-speakers into the mini-jack main out, and then you can easily mix PC, drums and any other tthing you hook up to the mixer (not having to use the awkard software mixer in your PC). Another advantage is, that you don't have to fire up your PC in order to hear your drums! These mixers are very versatile, and you've got a lot of options. I hope these two help a little. Erik

I will give this a try in the next few days, guess I will have to buy another cord to hook into the sound card (Turtle Beach Santa Cruz) I also have the Creative SoundBlasterLive MP3+ that I removed, but kept it for good measure. I will let you know what happens.
