Are you trying to edit a default kit, or a user kit? A user kit is
one that you create and save in kit numbers 49 through 79. A default
kit is any kit from 1 to 48. YOU CAN'T SAVE SETTINGS TO A DEFAULT
KIT. If the kit you are trying to edit is a default kit, do this.

1. Hit the SAVE button.

The display will now read...

Store Drumkit
To = 49 Init Kit (or whatever you've named it)

2. Use the VALUE (UP) button to scroll to a kit number from 49 - 79
that is not in use (They'll say INIT KIT if you haven't changed any
names.)

3. Once you've picked a number to save it in, keep hitting the SAVE
button until the display goes back to normal.

If you have a manual for the DTXpress, I highly recommend that you
read the sections on assigning voices, editing user kits, changing kit
names, utility mode, etc...

The manual is easy to follow and if you keep it next to your kit, it's
a handy reference. If you don't have a manual, you can download them
here...

These are in PDF format and you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view
and print them. Acrobat can be downloaded free here...

Once you have Acrobat Reader installed, you can print the manuals.
