Re: i have a problem with roland v-cymbal

2003-01-05 by liberatusvirus <liberatusvirus@yahoo.com>

Hi Ivan,

I have never used a CY14, but I believe that it has dual triggers,
one for the edge and one for the bow. As such, it can be set up
similarly to the Yamaha PCY80S or 65S stereo cymbals with separate
voice parameters for each trigger. Inputs 6 or 7 are the likely
candidates, but it will work in any of inputs 1 through 8. In 9/10,
only the bow will sound, since neither of them allows for a rim.
Since Roland cymbals are manufactured to mate primarily with Roland
modules, it may take some trigger/voice tweaking to get the CY14
working to your satisfaction, but it should come around. My little
CY6 runs well through the DTXPU.

Ed
