Hi-Hat Pedal Problem

2003-01-10 by Gary <rock_n_4jesus@yahoo.com>

I'm new to the DTXPRESS and electronic scene. I'm having troubles
with my Hi-Hat foot control operation. I just bought this set off of
ebay.... Anyhow, last night was my first time setting stuff up..after
all setup was done I noticed the Hi-Hat foot controller was not doing
anything at all..I was using the stereo plug and I had it plugged
into the control module correctly. After playing the set for about a
1/2 hour it just started working. At that point I assumed it was a
bad cable or Hi-Hat controller. Today I played it and it worked for
the first time. Then I shut it off for a 1/2 hour and came back and
now it won't work! I've tried wiggling the whole cable and unplugging
it from the module and replugging it..but no good. However, I did
notice that upon replugging the cable back into the Hi-Hat input on
the module that it made the hi-hat click sound (as if you were
stepping on the hi-hat pedal). Anyone have any idea what is causing
this? I am new at this stuff..so I could be overlooking something
silly. If I'm not overlooking something...then how do I trouble shoot
it? I HOPE AND PRAY its not the module. :( Thanks in advance for any
help given.

Gary
