Yeah, really weird. Any chance of you getting another controller 
from the music store and trying it? Just to make sure that the 
module isn't screwing up somehow, are you able to program a closed 
hh sound and an open one on separate pads w/o any drift? It just 
seems like the controller's at fault, especially since it does work 
at times.
