Re: Hit pad, start song

2003-02-09 by hairytrigger <artifax@internetcds.com>

Just a thought
Some songs are a mostly drums. If you press the SHIFT + PAGE UP
buttons before you start a song, the drum part will be muted. If this
happens, the song could be playing, but you won't hear it if it is all
drums! Try pressing the SHIFT + PAGE UP buttons to see if this
corrects it.
Press them again to counteract it.

books don't match up with mine (I must have dtxpress1), but I managed
to find the play/stop control instruction in section 2-6 of my owners
manual/reference guide. When I hit my designated pad (Tom #1) it
starts my metronome clicking at the correct speed for the main song I
have selected, but it doesn't start the main song itself. So I am
still a bit hazy on how to tell it to start the song specifically.
Any further hints would be welcome.

don't know anybody who owns one of these machines. The only guy (here
in Adelaide, Australia) that I can approach is the guy at the shop
where I bought it. And he appears to know as little as I do. I sure
wish that Yamaha had worded the instructions to suite the
non-technically proficient!
