Hi all, Just a note about my experiences getting accessories (UK): I contacted Academy of Sound in Sheffield (where I bought my DTX) to order an extra cymbal mount and PCY60 cymbal pad. They obtained the stand for me but were having difficulty getting the pad, so I rang Yamaha - they were quite helpful despite saying pads were unlikely to be in stock before April. I asked them for suppliers who had recently ordered parts and they obliged with a few, one being Electromusic in Doncaster. Yippee - they had a spare PCY60 which was sent all inclusive for £32, thanks Paul. On Saturday I visited Electromusic - wow what a store - its huge, well stocked and very helpful staff. I bought a comfortable Pearl drum stool (£65) and the DTX cymbal bell accessory - a PCY10 (£50). They also stocked another Yamaha part that I had not heard of - a twin percussion bar - looked interesting but I'd already spent enough. I then recounted how difficult it was to get my DTXpress and Electromusic responded with "oh, we have six in stock..... I can thoroughly recommend Electromusic - for drums contact Paul or Scott on 01302 369999 or www.electromusic.co.uk They have a number of accessories on order so I'll try them when I'm ready for 'stereo pads' e.g. the PCY80S cymbal and one for the snare (no stock though at present). By the way - Academy of Sound messed up supplying me a Yamaha P4500 PA amp - they just weren't quick enough getting one from the Manchester store to Leeds. Fox's Music in Leeds got one in a couple of days, which they price matched, so I bought it. Just typical that Electromusic had two on the shelf! Paul Brow p.brow@lmu.ac.uk
