Mark, About the kick. Even with a carpet under my kit I was not satisfied. Eventually I fastened both my pedal and kick tower to a 3 by 3 foot piece of masonite using mirror mounting clips and some nuts and bolts. I put a long strip of velcro at the leading edge underneath and a screw or two beneath for added grip to the carpet. It works great. No wobbling, no movement...rock solid, even looks cool. For live tips you might want to go into the archives and read my experiences posted last week. Beware the existing PA! Arrive early. ========================================================================= pete Hot Java, Cool Tunes: Visit Café Pierre www.geocities.com/SoHo/Cafe/4024/ > From: mark.bickenbach@... > Reply-To: DTXpress@onelist.com > Date: Tue, 07 Mar 2000 16:03:08 -0000 > To: DTXpress@onelist.com > Subject: [DTXpress] NEW USER > > Hi Everybody! > > I've bought my DTEXPRESS last week and I'm pretty amazed how many > posibillities this drumset offers. > > However I'm still struggling with the best way to get the kickpad > fixed on the > floor without moving around.
