Does anyone hate the choke facility on the ride cymbal pad rim as much as I do? I hate the fact that if I play the rim edge fast, every second beat tends to choke the sound. I am thinking of buying an extra cymbal pad and splitting the rim sound off to that pad. Has anyone tried doing that?
Recently I've programmed the ride rim as a second crash cymbal. It has worked well except for that inadvertent choking problem.
