I use a 30 foot cable and it's fine. The point is to make sure you use good quality shielded cable with proper insulation and solid earthing at all points. Even a short cable will pick up background noise if it is not properly shielded. Most guitar cables are of good quality since the potential to inheret noise between guitar pickups and amplifiers is quite high. But, as you rightly point out, a longer cable will be more susceptible to noise than a shorter one. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
