Hi Jade, As I read through your note I get the impression that Yamaha did make a good change between xpress I and xpress II that may be of interest to other's in the group who had contemplated adding MIDI > Trigger interfaces - and that is how the drum map is used. If I am interpreting this correctly it is a good change (Scott, if you're reading this it could be a change from what we talked about last night), because it would mean that the xpress II can now save the MIDI note numbers for externally connected pads within a user drum kit. The xpress I only saved locally attached pad voice assignments in the user kit. I think I'll put a call into Martin to confirm this.
