Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

I have successfully used the DTXchange for storing settings from and 
to my DTXP-1 on my Windows '98 equipped PC for some time. Having 
upgraded to XP (same PC), I find that bulk dumps are apparantly 
being sent (ie message from DTXchange reads 'user kit sent', for 
instance) but nothing appears at the module end. Similarly, bulk 
dumps from the DTXP are also executed with no error message but fail 
to materialise on DTXchange. I have used both a host connection 
cable in pc2/1 mode, and midi cables in midi mode, and juggled with 
the midi setup but to no avail. What do you think?
