Aphex Aural Exciter w/Big Bottom? There's a joke there somewhere, 
but I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot colorectal surgeon. Yes, the 
snare input, like the others, is stereo, meaning that a dual-zone 
snare would have to go into 9/10 or take up two other inputs. The 
issue with the hh controller is mainly polarity; I don't know if the 
Kat will work w/o adaptor. As for tube/FET switch, compare them; the 
tubbier, less defined bass sound may well be from tubes.
