Giles,

Thanks for volunteering to carrying the baton.

As for the Pearl kit, it's been fun tinkering with the old hardware, much
like working on my MGB. It's amazing how delicate it all was. The hi-hat is
a gas. Cleverly designed, but Ringo would have trashed it in an evening--the
snare stand in a set.

The shells sounds very sweet and jazzy. Alas the hoops are badly perforated
with rust and though functional cannot be restored to their former glory.
I'm giving the kit at cost to a guy at work, for his 11 year old to learn
on. Who knows, maybe he'll be the next Buddy Rich.

Anyway I give my friend a month of the kid's banging before he asks me where
he can buy a DTXpress, and we wind up with another list member.
