Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Hello Everyone,
I have been a member of this group for quite a while and have learned 
a tone of valuable information from this group. So Firstly I would 
just like to say thank you.

Secondly, I am having some problems with hooking my system via MIDI. I 
am trying to hook up the DTXpress to a Pro Tools Digi 001. I was able 
to do this and get the Pro tools to record the midi.  After I record a 
sound if I try to change kits on the DTXpress while the MIDI is 
playing back through Pro Tools I get this loop happening (where the 
kits just start rapidly changing) and it comes up with ERROR MIDI 
BUFFER FULL. I have turned off local control from the DTXpress to try 
and avoid this to happen but it still continues. Also resetting the 
system does not help I have to physically disconnect the MIDI cables 
for the system to stabilize.

I have already looked over the group's messages but there is no 
specific answer to this problem. 

If anyone has had a similar problem and could let me know step-by-step 
directions of hooking up midi to an external sequence or reasons why 
this MIDI BUFFER FULL could be happening I would be most appreciative.
