I'll take a stab at this one... :) Could be this is happening: You have the MIDI in and MIDI out from the DTX module going to your sequencer. When you begin to playback the sequence, the sequencer is in MIDI-Through mode. When you hit the "change drumkit" selection from the front panel of the DTX module, it goes out the MIDI out port, is received by the sequencer, that then "forwards" it to the MIDI in of the DTX module! This would be the "loop" that would cause the sequencer to continue to run up the drum kits till it looped around. Every "up" command received by the DTX in turn goes out *again* adding to the storm of instructions eventually causing the MIDI buffer to overflow. To see if this is the case, try removing the MIDI-Out cable from the DTX module and *them* use the kit up/down and see if the same result occurs. If this solves the problem, then go into your sequencer and turn off MIDI-Through. Hope this makes sense... :) Vern -- Vern Graner CNE/CNA/SSE | "If the network is down, then you're Senior Systems Engineer | obviously incompetent so why are we Texas Information Services | paying you?
