I think the reason you may not be getting many responses is that, as 
you know, the DTX has an upright bass pad, and as members upgrade 
their kits, most go with some sort of upright mesh head pad as I did.
However, I can tell you that I have a Pintech bass trigger that I use 
as a second kick and to use as a spare.
It works OK as a spare or second kick, but I wouldn't rely on it as 
my main kick because it doesn't seem to have the dynamics of my mesh 
head pad. Maybe I'm spoiled.
It is cheap, though. I think I paid about $34.00 for it (with a 
beater).
