Hi Ron,

Welcome. What we've found from painful experience pver the past two 
months and, finally, a little help from Yamaha is that the DTXIIPU 
module is in desperate need of a complete factory reset right out of 
the box to get the external MIDI function to work properly, even if 
you haven't so much as changed a single setting. Give the reset a 
try, and if that doesn't do the trick, post again, and let the 
troubleshooting begin.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
