Thanks for the information Rolf. Yeah, the kickpad is very noisy. I have the 
DTX KP80S kickpad and same problem...very noisy...I can't understand why 
Yamaha designed pad like this. The pad on the ground would be more better to 
play. And for the double bass players(as for me) I must buy a second pad 
because the area is too small for double pedal...that sucks! Other pads are 
ok...but kick is very poor and doesn't react like real one..very much 
vibration also and the rubber used is too hard. If there are any engineers 
from Yamaha reading this forum...redesign the kick pad with more area for 
the rubber with softer material and place the pads on the ground, not on the 
height on two feet!
